I was never the biggest Miley Cyrus fan but recently, she’s made me an appreciator of her music. “Flowers” is a great song, her singing impressed me and the concept of the video was simple yet effective. The lyrics are refreshing and champion self love and independence. I loved it! Great cinematography and styling.
SZA… “Kill Bill” (*deep sigh*) I am actually over sad, bitter, ex music. Do I hate the song? meh. Do I love it? No. I won’t play it again. Did I enjoy the music video, yes. Does the music video have anything to do with the lyrics of the song, no. Were the visuals good? Yes. However, that last part could’ve been deleted. Somehow, we’ve traversed into over exposure and it’s strange.
SAM MF SMITH is giving CUNT in “Gimme”. His voice is buttery smooth and the lyrics *chefs kiss*. Koffee is literally so talented, wow. The song and video, beautiful. Loved it.
Y’all remember Wisin Y Yandel?! They dropped a nice reggaeton riddim “Te Gusta”. Idk what they’re talking about but, the women are gorgeous with views of DR, and you can see authenticity dripping through and through. MMM I can see Drake remixing this tho, guess that’s how you know it’s good.
Okay, at first, I was like CUT THIS SHIT OFF. But, I wanted to give it a fair chance… “King Snipe” by Gucci Mane and Kodak Black. See, I could have seen myself memorizing the lyrics to this but I have zero interest in murder and drug addict music. It’s a basic tacky ass club to studio music videos with diamonds and sprite. Kodak’s lyrics are basic and redundant. Gucci’s lyrics are a little bit more interesting as it has some storytelling.. It’s giving Kodak the killer addict and Gucci the drug dealer. Honestly, yawn. Hated it. Nice beat tho.
GloRilla and this doobie WRAP! YES. I went into “On Wat U On” BLIND. I have never heard this song before and I love it. Cmon Rick James and Teena Marie. Lyrics and video match. The song is good and I love their voices together. MORE. I want more. I loved it. I just hate how we talk to each other in music, we gotta get back to loving each other again.
