How’s the 3rd weekend of the year treating you? NGL, this year started off great even though some of my goals got put on hold. Bae and I caught a cold and our plans for the weekend (thankfully) got canceled. I was exhausted. In the spirit of getting over seasonal sickness, this weekend will be filled with hot tea, binge watching Vikings of Valhalla and self-care. I hope you’re taking care, staying healthy and here are few self-care items that have elevated my self care this month:
This was a great gift from my loving boyfriend for Christmas Shoulder Massager.
I have been reading Atomic Habits all of last year and I still haven’t finished. Don’t get me wrong, it’s one of my best self-help book purchases I’ve made in 2022. But, I read 3 chapters every so often, try to implement them into my life, then gradually get to the next 2-3 chapters to help habit stacking. Creating systems that make my good habits more easy and attractive has been the best thing I’ve taken from the book. I didn’t expect this, but it did also help me create better personal boundaries for myself as well. I had to be realistic with the limits I had for myself and measure if they were helpful and where they came from.
I read my book with these collagen eye masks. I can’t tell if they actually reduced my dark circles but they feel LOVELY on my face especially when they’ve been cooling in the fridge! I legit look forward to them after a long day or week!
A freshly washed face, a steamer, this sweet cherry enzyme mask and freshly moisturized skin, (*chefs kiss*).
Target’s PJs are literally top tier. But this robe after a good body scrub and lather. Bye, no more calls.
The tree hut body scrubs are great but my skin is too sensitive in some areas, so these exfoliating gloves made my skin feel soooo smooth. I am never parting from these.
The comment that made my weekend:
Diandra’s comment on Friendship’s End And That’s Okay: “This is the second time I’ve read this post. The first time I read it simply as a new post on your blog but this time I came back to find it. and read it with intention. I needed this reality check, it was time for an audit! Thank you for shedding light on this topic the way you did.”
