Whew, last week was intense. I had a big project to work on for my vendor. And to be honest, It’s been a little bit of an uphill battle. Something that seemed so simple in theory took a long time to create because it was something that had to be built as it hadn’t been done before. In an effort to make my life easier, I reached out to my resources whenever I was stuck and needed assistance.
My lash tech was telling me how she doesn’t like asking for help because she doesn’t want to be perceived as a burden. I totally related to that way of thinking until I realized most successful people have help. They either ask for it or in many cases it’s offered and is insisted that they take it. When I prayed for more responsibility God gave it to me, for me to keep my responsibility, I had to be taught how to have and maintain it.
The good thing about asking for help is you find who is actually able to properly support you or watch you struggle. There is a blessing in both responses to your time of need. Here are a couple things that made my life easier last week:
The Apple Magic Mouse has made life a breeze, thanks babe. I keep calling it a mighty mouse.
I decided to stop being cheap and buy a monitor for work and for Animayana.com. Best decision I made was to optimize my productivity.
This thunderbolt cable to make my mac compatible with the monitor.
This list of gifts to give to your friends or lovers for Valentine’s Day.
Deciding to re-read All About Love by Bell Hooks.
This video on TikTok: a woman is describing what can make marriages work, “the objective for each person to out serve each other. When we outserve it’s not to expect anything in return but to answer to God. And that the goal in marriage is for our spouses to meet The Lord.”
When I saw this video, it challenged my new view of love and relationships. It offers a more old school perspective on marriage that, from my interpretation, doesn’t take away the value of each person. But it is to prepare each other for their next journey in life. It was just beautiful.
