Hacks For Increased Productivity

We’ve made it Q2, woo hoo! To some, April kicks off the real New Year in alignment with the Spring Equinox. So if you haven’t been crushing your New Year’s resolutions you still have time to get on track before the 3rd quarter. Here’s how I’ve been staying the course: 

 

Body Doubling: 
This is a method used for people with ADHD to get through and complete tasks with the company of another person. Going into the office or FaceTiming a friend can be incredibly helpful in fulfilling work to completion. Try folding that bag of laundry you’ve been sitting on since last Sunday with a friend on FaceTime and discover that not only are the clothes folded, your closet is also clean too.

 

7:30PM Bedtime: 
Now, before you call me a grandma, women are supposed to be getting 8-10 hours of sleep a night! Yes, TEN. We’ve been lied to about those measly 6 hours. Ever since I’ve implemented an earlier bedtime my productivity has increased 10 fold.

 

Magnesium Glycinate: 
Best sleep of my life since I’ve been taking 3 a night. My body feels incredible in the morning after incorporating this into my nightly routine. I don’t wake up out of my sleep and my dreams aren’t all over the place. It’s definitely been a game changer.

 

Ashwagandha:
As an overthinking girlie, I have a penchant for thinking the worst case scenario and feeling overwhelmed over things I perceive I can’t control. This herb has been incredible in reducing day to day stress. Things that could trigger me have no effect on me. Being able to see what would have triggered you and having a new perspective on experiencing it is a certified cheat code. Highly recommend it.

 

Vitamin D3:  

I can not tell you enough how much this has improved mental clarity and focus. I had a hellish work week when I started taking these and I was able to burn through my work and have a positive attitude while doing it. Many melanated people are Vitamin D deficient,  adding this to your diet will improve your mood, immune system, and muscle function (your brain!). Take these and go outside for at least an hour to get maximum results.

 

Bluelight Glasses:
Looking at screens everyday can’t be good on the eyes. I was getting migraines after work from looking at the screen 10 hours a day. The ones I’m wearing now are so cute and from Amazon! I love how cute they are on my face.

 

Dominican Salons:
It takes me 5 hours to wash, blowdry and flat iron my hair. Paying the salon to do a wash and set has saved me so much time and energy during my most overwhelming and stressful weeks. The look good feel good thing is so real and I can’t stress it enough. There is no point in making money if you can’t use it for the things that make your life easier and more fabulous.
